Land Acknowlegement

We would like to acknowledge the ᏣᎳᎫᏪᏘᏱ Tsalaguwetiyi (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians) traditional lands that Mountain Magic Studio sits on.

We honor the traditional stewards of the land, the Tsalaguwetiyi People living here today, their ancestors who lived here before them, and the generations that will live on here after them. 

And we acknowledge that these words will not repair the settler-colonial reality that sought to destroy the sanctity of the land and lives of the Tsalaguwetiyi people. 

We honor the continued resilience of the Tsalaguwetiyi people and their generosity in sharing their customs and heritage.

We pledge to listen and hear the voices of the traditional stewards of this land and the voice of the land itself. And to act in ways that serve to repair settler inflicted wounds. 

 

 

Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Statement

It is our mission at Mountain Magic Studio to honor and respect all paths, to take on the lifelong labor of decolonizing our inner worlds as we examine and work to remove internalized systems of racism and sexism so that we can act as allies to indigenous, black, and brown people, Trans and Queer folx as we work to create a more safe and equitable reality.

Our personal and professional goals are to continue the lifelong process of learning how to act as better citizens of humanity through cultivating an anti-racist mindset, sharing what we have learned and learning continuously through listening to black, brown, indigenous, LGBTQIA+ voices.
